Just as the flight attendant made the final “please remain seated with your seat belt fastened until the captain turns off the Fasten Seat Belt sign” announcement and silence had returned to the cabin, the vile, can’t-take-them-anywhere gases that had been waging a full-blown war inside of me for the last fifteen minutes erupted with …

Well, HELLO MARCH! And hello to anyone who is new Well, HELLO MARCH!

And hello to anyone who is new to the My Travel Stamps community.

In honor of my birthday month, I decided to share a few fun facts about myself as sort of a reintroduction.

1. I am a "fruta de isla sweeter dan eva" island gal who boarded her first international flight [KIN- JFK] at six years old. The experience was so stimulating, I've been hooked on travel ever since.

2. I have lived and/or worked in 4 countries: Jamaica, The Bahamas, Cayman Islands and the USA.

3. Growing up, I wanted to be a flight attendant.

4. Italy is still one of my favorite vacation spots, but I may be the only person I know who was underwhelmed by my visits to Venice and Pisa. No one told me the canals smell in the summer and that there's not much else to see than the leaning tower in Pisa. I had much more fun exploring Florence, Sienna, Rome, San Gimignano and Milan.

Now it's your turn to share. Please tell me how long you've been here, and whether or not you've ever been been to a destination you felt didn't quite live up to the hype.

Two years before Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s ass Two years before Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s assassination, only 33% of Americans thought highly of him and his work.

In an Ipsos poll done in 2020, he had a 90% favorabilty rating.

The moral of this story? People won't always embrace a push for change while it is happening. Don't let that block necessary progress though. Inertia isn't an option.🤎
